Tuscany On the Move (T.O.M) is a project launched by Regione Toscana to sustain the entrepreneurial forces in the Tuscany region. “Rntrepreneurial forces” refer not only to subjects able to generate income and economic development, but all those subjects able to transform an idea into an activity sustainable in the long term. While entrepreneurial activity certainly starts from individual initiative, the context where it is initiated can contribute substantially to its vitality and development. The close link between Universities, research centers, private sector, public and private funding institutions is crucial to create such a fertile ground. L3 was the local Chinese partner of the project. LAMA, the leading partner of T.O.M., singled out four cities which stands out in this regard (Boston, Shanghai, Sao Paolo and Amsterdam) and led 30 companies from Tuscany to visit them. In selecting the companies, priority was given to enterprises involved in clean tech, life sciences, IT, ICT, social innovation and young entrepreneurs. With the support of Impact Hub, L3 was in charge to organize the visit, liaise with foreign companies, research centers and universities.
